Garretson, a local banker. == Geography == According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.49 square miles (3.86 km2), of which 1.45 square miles (3.76 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) is water. == Demographics == === 2010 census === As of the census of 2010, there were 1,166 people, 449 households, and 308 families living in the city. The population density was 804.1 inhabitants per square mile (310.5/km2). There were 476 housing units at an average density of 328.3 per square mile (126.8/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.5% White, 0.3% African American, 0.3% Native American, and 0.6% from two or more races (Mulatto, Eurasian, mixed races) Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.3% of the population.
