Brookfield, Wisconsin, is home to a variety of dining options, but for pizza lovers, Grimaldi's Pizzeria stands out as a must-visit destination. With its rich history, commitment to quality ingredients, and mouthwatering menu, Grimaldi's offers a unique dining experience that keeps customers coming back for more. Let's take a closer look at what makes Grimaldi's Pizzeria the best pizza place in Brookfield.
A Rich History and Authentic New York Style Pizza
Grimaldi's Pizzeria traces its roots back to the iconic Patsy's Pizzeria in Harlem, New York City. Patsy Grimaldi, the founder of Grimaldi's, is known as one of the pioneers of New York-style pizza. His passion for quality ingredients and traditional pizza-making techniques has been passed down through generations, ensuring that every pizza at Grimaldi's stays true to its New York heritage.
At Grimaldi's, the authentic New York-style pizza experience begins with the crust. Made from a secret blend of flour, the dough is hand-tossed to create a thin, yet chewy, crust that serves as the perfect foundation for the toppings. The pizza is then topped with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and a selection of high-quality ingredients, including flavorful meats, fresh vegetables, and aromatic herbs.
Unparalleled Pizza-Making Process
Grimaldi's takes great pride in its pizza-making process, which has remained unchanged for over a century. The commitment to tradition is evident in the coal-fired brick ovens that dot the restaurant. These ovens, which are heated to a scorching 800 degrees Fahrenheit, impart a unique smoky flavor and crispy texture to the pizzas.
Unlike conventional ovens, the coal-fired ovens at Grimaldi's heat up quickly and distribute heat evenly, resulting in a perfectly cooked pizza with a beautifully charred crust. The combination of high heat and fast cooking time ensures that the flavors are locked in, creating an extraordinary taste that cannot be replicated by any other cooking method.
An Extensive Menu to Delight Every Palate
Aside from their mouthwatering pizzas, Grimaldi's offers an extensive menu that caters to a variety of tastes. Whether you're in the mood for a fresh salad, a plate of pasta, or a classic Italian dessert, Grimaldi's has you covered.
Their salads are made with only the freshest ingredients, providing a refreshing and healthy option for those looking for a lighter meal. From the Caprese salad with creamy mozzarella and ripe tomatoes to the Mediterranean salad packed with flavors of olives and feta cheese, there's a salad to satisfy every palate.
For pasta lovers, Grimaldi's serves a range of classic Italian pasta dishes. From the rich and indulgent fettuccine Alfredo to the flavorful spaghetti Bolognese, their pasta offerings are sure to leave you craving more.
No meal is complete without a sweet treat, and Grimaldi's dessert menu does not disappoint. Indulge in a slice of creamy New York cheesecake or savor the flavors of their famous tiramisu. Each dessert is crafted with care and guarantees to end your meal on a high note.

About My City
Brookfield is a city in eastern Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. It had a population of 41,464 at the 2020 census. The city is adjacent to the Town of Brookfield and is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. == History == Brookfield is west of Milwaukee in Waukesha County in an area originally inhabited by Potawatomi Indians. The first white settler, William Howe, arrived in 1820 with a Presidential Land Grant giving him title to the area. Soon after, Robert Curren bought a claim in 1836 and established a tavern and inn. In May 1838, Jacques View Jr., with a large party of white settlers, led the local Potawatomi west. Caroline Quiner, the mother of Laura Ingalls Wilder, was born in a cabin in 1839 in what is now the City of Brookfield, near the current intersection of Brookfield Road and Davidson Road. By 1839, the population needed a school house, as the 1840 census showed a population of 148. In these 1840s, George Gebhardt started trading with the surrounding Potawatomi and Menominee neighbors.
