The Pietro's/Ferrarese Family: Fountain Hills' Premier Wine Bar

If you're a wine lover in Fountain Hills, Arizona, you're in luck. Nestled in the heart of this beautiful desert town is Pietro's, a family-owned wine bar that has been serving up superb wine and exceptional hospitality for over a decade. Under the guidance of the Ferrarese family, Pietro's has become a local institution, offering a diverse selection of wines, delectable food pairings, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

    A Rich Family Legacy

The origins of Pietro's can be traced back to the Ferrarese family, who emigrated from Italy and brought their passion for wine with them to Arizona. Their love for wine, passed down through generations, culminated in the establishment of Pietro's in the late 2000s. Since then, the family has diligently curated a wine list that appeals to both connoisseurs and novices alike.

With a focus on small-batch and boutique wineries, Pietro's offers a selection of over 300 wines from various regions around the world. From bold reds to crisp whites and everything in between, their wine list is carefully crafted to accommodate different tastes and preferences.

A Wine Experience Like No Other

When you step into Pietro's, you're immediately greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy interior, adorned with rustic decor and vintage wine barrels, sets the stage for an unforgettable wine experience. The knowledgeable staff, most of whom are certified sommeliers, are always on hand to guide you through the extensive wine list and help you find the perfect wine for your palate.

One of Pietro's standout features is their weekly wine tastings, where they showcase a selection of wines paired with complementary bites. These tasting events not only allow you to expand your wine knowledge but also provide an opportunity to socialize with fellow wine enthusiasts in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Pietro's also hosts private events, such as wine dinners and winemaker meet-ups, where guests can enjoy a more intimate experience and gain insights directly from the winemakers themselves. These events are not only educational but also offer a chance to discover new wines and deepen your appreciation for the craft.

    A Culinary Journey

While wine takes center stage at Pietro's, their menu is equally impressive. The Ferrarese family believes that exceptional wine should be paired with equally exceptional cuisine. From artisanal cheese and charcuterie boards to delectable small plates and entrees, each dish is thoughtfully crafted to enhance the flavors of the wines.

    • Start your meal with a classic Caprese salad, featuring locally sourced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and aromatic basil.

    • Indulge in their mouthwatering homemade pasta dishes, such as the rich and savory Tagliatelle Bolognese.

    • For meat lovers, the perfectly seared Ribeye steak, served with a side of truffle mashed potatoes, is an absolute must-try.

    • Finish off your feast with Pietro's famous tiramisu, expertly prepared using a traditional family recipe.

Every bite at Pietro's is a treat, and their menu seamlessly complements the incredible wine selection, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

    Community Involvement

Beyond their dedication to exceptional wine and food, the Ferrarese family takes great pride in supporting the local community. They actively participate in charitable events and collaborate with other local businesses to promote the vibrant culture of Fountain Hills. Pietro's often hosts fundraisers and donates a portion of their proceeds to various charitable organizations, demonstrating their commitment to giving back.

    Summary: A Wine Lover's Paradise

Pietro's, founded and nurtured by the Ferrarese family, stands as a testament to their unwavering passion for wine and community. With an extensive wine list, exceptional cuisine, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Pietro's has rightfully earned its place as Fountain Hills' premier wine bar.

Fountain Hills is a town in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. Known for its impressive fountain, once the tallest in the world, it borders the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and Scottsdale. The population was 23,820 as of the 2020 census. Between the 1990 and 2000 censuses it was the eighth-fastest-growing place among cities and towns in Arizona. The median value of an owner-occupied housing during the period 2016–2020 was estimated at $402,100. == History == Before the development of Fountain Hills, the area was home to the Yavapai people, and petroglyphs can be found near the Dixie Mine in the northwest corner of the town along the mountains. In the early 20th century, the area that became Fountain Hills and the McDowell Mountain Regional Park was part of the Pemberton Ranch, later renamed the P-Bar Ranch. Fountain Hills High School is built on the site of one of the P-Bar Ranch's buildings, and a plaque stands in the parking lot to commemorate this. Fountain Hills was developed by C. V. Wood, president of McCulloch Oil, and was named after the towering man-made fountain in the center of town. The town was incorporated in 1989.
