A Rich History of Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery
The story of Sparkling Pointe dates back to 2000 when its founders, Tom and Cynthia Rosicki, followed their passion for sparkling wine and embarked on a journey to establish a vineyard specializing in méthode champenoise-style wines.
The estate spans over 40 acres of land in the North Fork of Long Island, benefitting from a unique maritime climate and rich soil ideally suited for grape cultivation. The vineyard's location, close to the Great Peconic Bay, creates a microclimate that enhances the maturation of the grapes, producing wines with distinctive and complex flavors.
Since its inception, Sparkling Pointe has strived for excellence, crafting wines that rival renowned Champagne producers. The meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard's winemaking process has garnered numerous accolades and awards, solidifying its reputation as a premier sparkling wine producer.
Offerings That Delight Every Palate
At Sparkling Pointe, you will find an impressive selection of sparkling wines that cater to a wide range of preferences. Whether you favor a dry and crisp Brut, a soft and velvety Rosé, or a luxurious vintage cuvée, the winery has something to satisfy every palate.
The variety of grape varietals used in Sparkling Pointe's wines is one of the aspects that sets them apart. They primarily focus on three traditional Champagne grapes:
- Chardonnay: Known for its elegance and finesse, Chardonnay brings notes of green apple, lemon zest, and a creamy texture to the sparkling wines.
- Pinot Noir: This grape adds complexity and structure with flavors of red berries, cherries, and warm spices.
- Pinot Meunier: Often blended with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier contributes softness, floral aromas, and a touch of earthiness to the wines.
Sparkling Pointe's dedication to crafting only sparkling wines sets it apart from many other wineries in the region. This specialization creates a unique atmosphere where sparkling wine enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a world of effervescent delights.

About My City
The Town of Southold is one of ten towns in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is located in the northeastern tip of the county, on the North Fork of Long Island. The population was 23,732 at the 2020 census. The town contains a hamlet, also named Southold, which was settled in 1640. == History == Algonquian-speaking tribes, related to those in New England across Long Island Sound, lived in eastern Long Island before European colonization. The western portion of the island was inhabited by bands of Lenape, whose language was also one of the Algonquian languages. In surrounding areas, the Dutch colonists had established early settlements to the northwest: on the upper Hudson River was Fort Orange, founded in 1615 (later renamed Albany by the English); and New Amsterdam (later renamed Manhattan) in 1625. Lion Gardiner established a manor on Gardiners Island in East Hampton in 1639. Just across from Long Island, the Connecticut Colony, or Connecticut River Colony, was established in 1636. The Puritans established New Haven Colony separately in 1638, even though it was largely surrounded by Connecticut Colony.
