Over the years, Tiger Mountain Vineyards has gained recognition for its commitment to quality and sustainability. The vineyard combines modern winemaking techniques with traditional craftsmanship to produce wines that capture the essence of the North Georgia mountains. With a focus on small-batch production and hand-picking grapes, the winery ensures that every bottle is a work of art.
Uncover the Terroir of Tiger Mountain Vineyards
One of the most remarkable aspects of Tiger Mountain Vineyards is its terroir. The combination of the region's climate, soil, and elevation creates the perfect conditions for grape cultivation and wine production.
The vineyard is situated at an elevation of approximately 2,000 feet, allowing the grapes to benefit from the cool mountain breezes. This unique microclimate extends the growing season and enhances the flavors and aromas of the wines produced at Tiger Mountain Vineyards.
The soil composition also plays a crucial role in the wines' character. The vineyard primarily rests on a foundation of fractured quartzite, providing excellent drainage and imparting distinct mineral notes to the grapes. This unique geological feature gives the wines from Tiger Mountain Vineyards a remarkable sense of place.
Award-Winning Wines That Delight the Palate
Tiger Mountain Vineyards is renowned for its exceptional wines, which have garnered numerous accolades over the years. The winery specializes in producing European-style wines with a southern twist, showcasing the best of both worlds.
One of their standout wines is the Petit Manseng, a white wine that offers a vibrant acidity balanced by luscious tropical fruit flavors. This wine has received critical acclaim, winning multiple gold medals in renowned wine competitions.
The vineyard is also known for its red wines, such as the Tannat and Cabernet Franc. These bold and elegant wines showcase the potential of the region for producing world-class reds. Their rich tannins and complex flavors make them perfect companions for hearty dishes and special occasions.
